Required training /qualifications

• Degree in computer science or comparable training / experience.
• Good understanding of software engineering.

Professional experience

• 3 years as IT Project Manager
• At least 3 years SW development areas, with experience in functional analysis and Requirements.
• Experience as project manager at least 3 years.

Languages

• Spanish C1. Spoken and written.
• English B2 / C1. Spoken and written. Will work in European projects with IT colleagues in France and Germany and final users worldwide.
• An additional foreign language is an advantage but not a stipulation.

Other requirements

• Structured, reliable, and independent way of working.
• Strong communication skills and analytical thinking.
• Knowledge of software development, logistics processes, project/request/resource management

Valuable knowledge

• Java, web technologies, SQL, GIT, Maven.
• Service-oriented architectures.
• PM Methods (PMP, Prince, PM2, …).
• Modern development methods such as Domain Driven Design, agile development according to Scrum and Kanban, …
• Confident handling of the MS Office environment, Visio, JIRA or Confluence.
• Logistic and Transport Business.

Purpose of the job:

• The job holder manages software development projects. He is responsible for the smooth running of the processes and further developments regarding planification, execution and monitoring the project tasks.
• Responsible planning, coordination, supervision and implementation of concrete requirements and projects.
• Business requirements gathering and management.
• Creation of comprehensive project plans including cost and effort estimates and resource planning.
• Delegate work on the development team.
• Monitoring tasks and progress.
• Project troubleshooting and issues escalate.
• Participation in continuous optimization of applications and the development framework.
• Structuring and optimization of IT internal processes and communication.             
• Collaboration on other projects, for example in the areas of route optimization and visualization, digital freight forwarding, mobile apps, automation solutions in the transshipment hall, AI solutions, domain architectures or forward-looking front ends.
• New and further development of our core systems. Assigned projects.

Overall job collaboration

• International Software development Projects involving other international IT teams, business departments and users.
• Strongly / permanent collaboration with other European development teams.
• Worldwide final users.

Travel conditions

• 4/6 weeks per year. Usually Monday to Friday. Europe (Germany, France + Iberia).
• During the training period + 4/6 weeks (depending on the necessities). Europe (Germany, France + Iberia).
